Opening Ceremony x
Everlane Collaboration

For one of Everlane's first forays into a brick-and-mortar space, the brand partnered with another like-minded company that valued storytelling and had a unique point of view–Opening Ceremony. In the fall of 2016, the two brands came together to launch a collection of limited-edition cashmere, debuted at each of the Opening Ceremony stores in New York and Los Angeles. To transport fans into the world of Everlane within the OC stores, a larger-than-life installation was designed by the architecture firm Post-Office. It contained open cylinders of maple wood with bulbous paper lanterns dangling down, designed by Isamu Noguchi.

To kick off the collaboration, a launch party was hosted in Opening Ceremony's store in Downtown Manhattan. As a nod to the warm and cozy cashmere collection, festive Hot Toddies were served as DJ Kitty Cash set the vibes with her signature mix of dance tunes. Notable attendees included lead singer of the band R.E.M., Michael Stipe, models Diana Veras and Phil Sullivan, and musical artist TK Wonder. To see more photos from the event, click here.

"I worked with Ling Luke on a special collaboration between Everlane, Opening Ceremony, and POST-OFFICE. Working with Ling was a breeze and thoroughly enjoyable. Her advanced creative and technical knowledge, as well as her personality, made the project go without a hitch, and on budget. I wish all jobs were like this.”
